- History and evolution of analog and digital film editing
- Learning the role and workflow of the editor in fiction and documentary narratives
- Developing a deep understanding of fiction in storytelling
- Developing different perspectives by perceiving the film material through the eyes of an editor
- Discovering rhythm types in film editing, perceiving rhythm and creating the right tempo
- Techniques for creating a unique style in fiction, creating a style
- The role of music in film editing: its uses, effects and place in the creative process
- In-depth analysis and discussion of fiction through sample films

- Rana Önoğlu has been involved in film theory and analysis since her years at Boğaziçi University and has worked as an editor for film magazines.
- Many of his fiction and documentary films have been screened in domestic and international festivals and won various awards, the best fiction award being just one of them.
- Rana believes that good fiction develops not only through technical knowledge or theoretical analysis, but also through an intuitive understanding, and teaches with an interdisciplinary approach.
