Series Writing Training Introduction to Series Writing - 2nd Course
Duration : 8 Weeks / 24 hours (1 day a week – 3 hours)
Level : Basic – Intermediate
Format : Face-to-face and hands-on
Prerequisite : Completion of 1st course or experience in series development
Course Content
- Design of chapter structure and techniques for the distribution of the story into chapters
- Flow and arc design: Season-long transformation of characters and events
- Tretman (Treatment) writing: Creating a scene-by-scene structure
- Dialog writing and character voice development
- Utilizing subtext, allusion and the power of silence
- Use of script format and writing tools (Final Draft, Celtx)
- Practical writing sessions and group evaluations
- Final project: Completion of the first episode script
